Here's the rough

I am honored to present Dirk Erik Schulz, today's guest artist on 1930 Nightmare Theatre.
The talented Mr. Schulz (AKA Themrock) hails from Germany and is one of the most unique and visionary artists I've ever had the pleasure to work with. Check out his Deviant Art gallery and prepare to have your mind blown!

This week sees the 13-part Strawberry's Quest come to an end. This was sort of an improv experiment in comic form: I wrote part one, and from their John and I took turns writing each part until the comic came to a "logical" conclusion. It was a lot of fun, and I like what we came up with. We won't be doing it again anytime soon, however. We've got other fish to fry. We'll do more multi-parters in the future, possibly just as long, but with the story figured out beforehand. In the meantime, we'll be here with some gag strips, though we're going to take a three-week break after Valentine's Day. We've got some incredibly awesome guest strips for those weeks, so look forward to them.

In other news, all the old stuff in my Etsy shop is on über-sale, and I've added the piece above. Check it out at http://www.etsy.com/shop/TVsKyle

Yeah...how painful it must be for you HoopyFrood, to actually have to learn something new.
GREAT comic Fred, Please Keep em' Comming!!
Great job! Can't wait to see more.
See ya Fred.
However, at least have some basis for your argument. Saying "this comic suxx LOLOL!!!" offers about as much criticism as saying, "Hey! I've got a tree frog sitting on top of my head!" If you have some reason why you don't like a comic, fine! State your point. But don't be hateful about it. If you do intend to hate on something blindly and loudly, keep it to yourself. Really, nobody cares. You're just another random person on the internet using anonymity to try and cause a ruckus.
I for one really dig this comic. Sure, the humor might not slap you in the face as it does with Skadi or Kimbo, but it's there, and it's really well done. I can appreciate subtlety as much as I can appreciate the wacky antics of the other comics on this site. The art also screams of the shows I used to watch as a kid, too: a highly exaggerated, but still extremely detailed and thorough experience. Great work, keep 'em coming. You got a fan in me, at least.
There are plenty of people who enjoy this strip who just don't comment. It's the douche bags that HAVE to let everyone know that they don't like it, and they're ruining this awesome site.
I for one think the art is mediocre, and the jokes, excluding May 16th's comic, really doesn't have much of a punchline, or if it does, you have to find out what it means because the joke is so unheard-of. Most web-comic artists usually remedy this by creating newsposts that are enjoyable and short, and quickly explain the joke.
In summary, most of these "haters" are just here to see some webcomics, and would like to give their 2 cents, there was only one instance where somebody just said "It's terrible".
P.S.
If you're going to shout something like "well you can't do art, so you don't know"
then here

But the reason behind reminding any harsh commenter that they do not do art themselves, is because they obviously do not understand the hard work and dedication it takes to bring you something nice, and free, every week.
It's okay if you don't like it, but there is such a thing as constructive critisism. What could be done better? What would you suggest? What would you like to see? We are all human beings here and it's never nice to stomp all over someone's heart.
Cool Comic Fred, from a fellow space nut!
1) crazybirdanimation.....exactly.....
2) Ryan Kramer, yay! somebody recognized Carl Sagan!
3) Gremrat, thanks for the comment! I knew going into some of these strips that they would appeal to only a specific group of people (mainly space nuts like myself who grew up in the 80's) one of the great things about doing something outside of the "system" is that we get to create things that don't have to pertain to the largest audience possible!
4) Rne, THANKS!
5) Kevin Langley, Thanks! Carl Sagan totally
rules!
6) Dranxis, thanks,
8) HoopyFrood, this strip isn't for everyone, but that's why we have 5 different strips every weekday!
9) Bob, Thanks!
10) ....angrybastard....
11) Batman, THEEEEE Batman? Cool!
12) mukpuddy, thanks!
13) Fred G, best first name ever! thanks!
14) RNDN, thank you very much!
15) Craig T, thanks, Carl Sagan is an odd bird isn't he? It's kind of mesmerizing to listen to him talk though, don't you think?
16) Alisa, thanks!
17) Justin, thanks.
18) Stefie, true enough.
19) Glassbomb, hi.
20) Peabody, I agree, "constructive" is best.
21) Dumb Comic Fan, yes! a fellow "space nut" thanks!!!
22) Eva, thanks a lot! We'll keep making these comics, if you keep reading them!
23) Bill Field, turns out Carl Sagan is a lot more controversial than most people think, check out the Dumm Comics Forum!
As for you other guys who don't get the idea of a webcomic being funny...Webcomics aren't always funny. There's a handful of serious webcomics out there, so they deserve to be appreciated rather than deemed unfit for viewers. That's why Earthward Ho! is a good strip; simply because it is humorous to a minimum. That, and it's the only Dumm strip that has actual continuity to it.
