Yes, this strip takes place in the future. There is a lot about to happen in the world of Kimbo. Just listen to what Ricky said: stay TOONED!

You know, some of these comics have some serious plot holes, like glaring ones that are hard to ignore.

From previous comics I had assumed Kimbo was some sort of hasbeen celebrity, because of the fact he was appearing at a picnic or something. (http://dummcomics.com/index?sid=255)

I had also assumed from this comic, that V might actually be Kimbo's agent or something.

From another comic, they show Kimbo making a black wish for a girlfriend, that's where Kimboa showed up. So how much "history" do they really have? She didn't exactly show up on day one either.

Kimbo
Kimbo is a 53 year old carpenter/cartoon star from Missouri, he suffers from diabetes and his lifelong dream is to meet Carson Daly. He lives with his cat Lucy and his manager Vespa in a two room apartment overlooking the ocean. His favorite food is apple cores and his catch phrase is "Flim Flam, where my dawwwwwwwgs at?!"

Remember: it is extremely important to micro manage every single character detail before you write a single story, as human beings always remain exactly the same throughout their lives, never changing one bit. The end!
