Funny ending to a really fun story. stories like this make me hope you have plans for a story collection release on paperback.

I've always been put off by "the resurrection cop-out" in movies where someone has sustained horrific fatal wounds, died tragically, then got brought back by Teh Powar Of Luv or some other skeevy magicks, both alive and completely healed, so the audience can only tip their toes in the tragedy rather than go for the full swim. "Beauty And The Beast" could pull that sort of nonsense, but "Dark Crystal" or even my beloved "Nausicaa In The Valley Of Wind?" Not so much.

Skadi, however, can get away with it for the same reason Bugs Bunny can.
